Entry

A straightforward and simple process. Our school admissions are fully based on potential, not simply on performance in tests.

We manage every application on its merits and welcome standard entry, scholarship, bursary and international applications throughout the academic year.

Decisions are made swiftly and uniquely for an independent school, there are no fees charged to apply for both UK and international students.

A professional and experienced admissions team are on hand throughout the process for a seamless transition for your child into Westbourne School.

As an academic school, offering individual attention to each and every child, that extends to our admissions process, with private tours, 1-2-1 Zoom calls and visits welcomed year-round.

It is in an area tucked on the edge of one of Britain’s most outstanding national parks that is renowned for its safety, clean mountain air, friendliness and natural beauty. It is a wonderful place to learn and grow. Before a pupil is offered a place at Llandovery College, they will sit an Entrance Exam in English and Mathematics and have an interview with the Warden, either in person or by Zoom or Teams. A Registration Form must be completed, which should be submitted with a Registration Fee of £100 beforehand and, once an offer is made, the Acceptance Form will need to be returned together with a deposit in order to secure the place. The full international application process is outlined here.

In addition to the Entrance Examinations, a further scholarship paper will be required. Please ensure you inform our admissions team upon application, of your intention to apply for a scholarship.
