Llandovery College has a rich tradition of excellence in the Arts and our unique Performing Arts Academy has been established to fully support those students who are passionate about their chosen discipline, be it acting, dance, vocal or instrumental performance.
Art & Photography
Every year, to celebrate the pupils’ successes and efforts, an exhibition of work is held as part of the Creative Arts Showcase and Arts Awards. The exhibition displays work by pupils in all year groups. This is always an outstanding and fitting event in which the energy, enthusiasm and creativity shown by the pupils across all the year groups, and in all aspects of Art and Photography has been tremendous.

The Junior Performing Arts Academy
Llandovery College has a rich tradition of excellence in the Arts and our unique Junior Performing Arts Academy has been established to fully support those students who are passionate about their chosen discipline, be it acting, dance, technical theatre, vocal or instrumental performance.
Music Scholarships
Available for entry into Years 7, 9 and 12
Music Scholarships are awarded to those displaying excellent musical potential. A Scholarship will include free tuition in the candidate’s principal instrument/voice. The standard of performance expected is Grade IV at Year 7 entry and Grade VI at Sixth Form entry (ABRSM standard or equivalent). However, evidence of talent and promise of development is of more importance than actual examinations passed. Candidates may offer a second instrument of a lesser standard, or a piece of composition in lieu of a second instrument.
