A Unique and Exciting Educational Setting

The early Years at Llandovery College offers a bespoke and exciting educational setting and, as children travel on a voyage of discovery and adventure, we aim to awaken a thirst for learning, helping children to develop a curiosity, understanding and enjoyment of the world around them.
Early Years

A Bespoke Academic Education

Our pupils receive teaching tailored to excite and inspire young minds. We provide a stimulating and fulfilling learning environment where, in small class sizes, teachers have time to give children the individual attention they deserve. Children are cared for by qualified and experienced teaching staff, who provide outstanding pastoral care.
Early Years

A Strong Ethos

We have a strong ethos of working with parents and guardians as partners and strive to create strong relationships with both children and their families. Our early years setting makes full use of our beautiful grounds and outdoor spaces. We work hard to make sure the environment is stimulating and rich as this provides optimum learning opportunities.
Early Years

Foundation Phase Framework

The curriculum is planned against the framework of the Foundation Phase, enhanced by critical thinking and exploration. Seasonal, and other relevant topics reflecting the children’s wider interests, are used as the basis for planning for the Seven Areas of learning and development, so that there is a common thread throughout all areas. Children in the Early Years benefit from French, Welsh, Computing, Music, PE and swimming lessons. These are taught by specialist teachers working in partnership with the Early Years staff. When children have an outstanding experience in these early formative years, it not only aids their brain development, it also shapes their whole life-long attitude to school and learning.
